NEW DBD Song & new music!

So, we put up a new Death Before Dishonor song yesterday entitled, "Coffin Nail".  This is one of my favorite songs to play and to listen to off the new album, and a good representation of it as a whole.  The album drops July 28th on Bridge 9 Records.  Also next week, our 7inch entitled, "Our Glory Days" comes out as well.  It features two songs from the new album as well as an exclusive cover song.  Definitely check these things out at
www.Bridge9.com

I fly to Boston to meet up with the guys on July 2nd for some practice before the 10 Bands for $10 tour.  We are playing a 7inch release show on the 3rd at the Tiger's Den in Brockton as well.  Not sure of full details at this point but, the show will be great.  There will definitely be exclusive limited screenprinted 7inch covers designed by my brother Juicy Joel .

In other news, I've been rockin a lot new music lately that I figured I'd share with anybody who's interested.  Definitely not a lot of hardcore, but what can I say, I think I hear enough of that stuff in my gig life.  Although, check out my brother's blog for some solid reviews of new hardcore.  Here we go....

First off, the new Dave Matthews Band record "Big Whiskey and The Groo Grux King is excellent.  They're definitely throwing back to their earlier style of "Under The Table and Dreaming" and "Crash".  I love this band.... NO SHAME.

A Loss For Words - "The Kids Can't Lose":  These are young kids from the South Boston area playing very very catchy, well thought out pop punk.  I hope the best for these guys because I think they deserve it.  The recording sounds great which is impressive considering they have no label backing AT ALL.  PS Singer Matty Arsenault sang all melodic backing vocals on the new DBD record.  For fans of New Found Glory, Paramore etc.  Big ups to A Loss For Words!

Billy Talent - "III":  Their third record (obviously) due out sometime in July.  I became a big fan of this band a couple years back thanks to Javier of The Warriors .  This band definitely has a unique sound that I don't think is for everybody, but it's definitely for me.  Anybody familiar with Billy Talent can expect a great follow up to II with some unfamiliar but super catchy melodies all over it.

I'll update again when I head back to Boston.  They call me the breeze...

You're shot...

So I'm at home for the next month before we start the 10 Band for $10 tour.  I'm very excited for this tour and to be out on the road again with Madball, Terror and Trapped Under Ice
While I'm home, I'm working on some endorsements as well as replacing all my broken cymbals.  A chore for sure, but it needs to be done.
I took these pictures during our 6 hour layover in the Frankfurt airport at Mcdonalds.  We were a mess.  This is what our band looks like after a flight from Hamburg Germany to Moscow, a gig, an overnight train ride to St. Petersburg, a ton of walking around, a gig, and a late night flight from St. Petersburg to Frankfurt.  6am German time.  Enjoy.  You're shot...

After tour update

So I got lazy on tour and stopped updating for the second half.  The tour ended up being a whole lot of fun and I tried to take advantage of that rather than sitting on my computer.  We went to Russia and played possibly the greatest hardcore show I've ever experienced in Moscow.  St. Petersburg was great as well.  I'll post up some awesome pictures.  We're on a break right now so we're all at home relaxing.  See you on the road again July 9th.  Check out the pics!  They call me the breeze...

Day 18/19

I'm currently sitting in the Lobby of the ACHAT hotel in Bochum Germany.  The last two shows were Freiburg and Bochum.  Bother of the shows were pretty small but the crowd got in to it so they were still fun.  Good food at both venues and good places to stay as well.  Bryan got reeeeeeal drunk last night so our set was extra entertaining.  To anybody who has not experienced drunk Bryan Harris, buy him drinks on our US tour and witness the beauty.
There's not a lot to report otherwise right now.  We play Marburg tonight, then Berlin tomorrow.  There WILL be things to report after Berlin.   Other than that, I've been listening to the new CF and Steel Nation records a lot on our drives.  Also Dustin Kensrue, Atmosphere, Playa Fly and of course the new DBD record.
Since I really have no updates, I'm gonna post the pics from our ice cream escapades.  Enjoy.  They call me the breeze...
