They Call Me The Breeze...

My brother, Juicy Joel, has been trying to convince me to do this blog for sometime.  Truth is, I lack motivation.  Well basically, here's the point...

I play drums in a touring hardcore band called Death Before Dishonor from Boston, Ma.  I joined this band in January of 2008 with the intention of pursuing my dream of playing music for a living.  I was playing in a band called Fight Like Hell in Denver, CO with some of my best friends, but when opportunity strikes, I cannot sit still.  So out with FLH and in with DBD.  I can honestly say it's been one of the best chances I've ever taken.  In the last year of my life, I've played music in 27 different countries, 3 continents, almost every state in the US, made some of the greatest friends I've ever had, and met some of my biggest influences in my choice to play drums/hardcore and music in general.

Now this may seem crazy and exciting to a normal human being, which to an extent it is.  But to some of you that have experienced the same thing, traveling leaves you with an insane amount of down time.  Hence, this blog.

A month ago I was in Japan (pics at the bottom) which was followed up by a month stay in Boston, MA to write and record the next DBD album.  I then went back to Denver for two days, drove to Memphis, TN for BBQ and a Clenched Fist show, and drove back. Now that that's finished, I'm currently back at my home in Denver, CO packing and anxiously awaiting the GDMB move to Greenville/Greer, SC in 11 days, followed by a move to Nashville, TN later in 2009.  They call me the breeze...

*Word Key*
Juicy Joel - My older brother / The man who made me who I am, and the elder half to the GDMB
GDMB - Goddamn Murphy Brothers / The cohesive unit that is myself and my brother.  Learn it, love it.
DBD - Death Before Dishonor / The band that I tour with year round
FLH - Fight Like Hell / The band I was in previous to DBD that played a huge part getting to me where I'm at.
CF - Clenched Fist / My brothers band.  They've been playing since I was 11 years old and are my favorite band of all time.
